Odessit, the captain of the vessel Cenyury (IMO 9253260, flag of Antigua and Barbuda), died on board under strange circumstances. This was reported by the marine portal Seafarers Jour.
It is noted that the other day a sailor who asked to remain anonymous contacted the editorial office and reported the details of this tragedy.
According to him, everything happened when the ship was heading to Panama (where the captain was supposed to change). That day (two days before arriving at the port) the captain did not leave his cabin.
When colleagues went to him, they found his lifeless body there. After the crew passed on the information about the incident to the office of the shipowner company, there they were ordered to seal the cabin with the body and wait for the Panamanian authorities. The source does not specify whether there were injuries on the body.
Among the colleagues of the deceased, there is a version that the captain did not die of natural causes at the age of 38.
Ukrainian and Filipino sailors work on board the ship Cenyury.
According to the latest data, the body of the captain continues to lie in the cabin, the smell has already come from there, and the Panamanian authorities refuse to take it away.
