The railway line from Sukhoi Port to Odesa-Peresyp station has been completed

"Euroterminal" company completed the construction of an access railway connecting it with the Port of Odessa. Throughput capacity of more than one million tons per hour.

Logistics company "Euroterminal" laid the railway track from Sukhoi Port to Odesa-Peresyp station

The railway line built by Euroterminal LLC has transformed the conditions of interaction between the port of Odessa and the company, the built railway allows for the acceptance of various cargo nomenclature: containers, bulk and general cargo.

This construction also solves the problem of unequal opportunities for the capacity of railway tracks of the port and Odessa-port station. To the greatest extent, this discrepancy is felt in spring and autumn, during the maximum loads on the road, when grain is exported from the terminals of the port of Odessa.

The ability of trains to transport large volumes of cargo is their main advantage. In general, rail transport is more efficient than road transport: with the help of container trains, economies of scale can easily be achieved, while roads have limited capabilities.

Each additional container transported by road means an increase in costs. At the same time, for railway transport, the costs for each additional container do not increase until the train is full.

Railway of OOO "Euroterminal" as part of the logistics infrastructure of the port

The construction of a new railway branch will allow to reduce the costs of the company itself, its clients, port operators, freight forwarders, customs agents and logistics operators. The new access railway route facilitates the simplification of administration along the entire logistics chain, from dispatch to the final consumer, and will allow to optimize processes.

This result will also become the basis for the development of innovative projects and new logistics business models for the development of the Port of Odessa, the "Dry Port" and the adjacent infrastructure. Now the company plans to build a station for the processing of container trains, containers and a complex for the processing of grain and niche crops.

As the CEO of the company, Alexander Eismont, noted: "In addition to profitability, Euroterminal's port logistics can simplify logistics operations and improve customer service, as containers are loaded, checked, stored, collected and distributed from one place, which will lead to shorter lead times." order".

Euroterminal LLC project: optimization and ecology

The construction of the railway line will reduce the level of urban traffic, reduce the amount of freight transport passing through the passage ports and overpasses, and as a result, reduce the negative impact on the environment. After all, in general, railway transport is a much more environmentally friendly mode of transport.

Thus, the port-oriented logistics of the "Euroterminal" company shows serious results - the construction of a new railway line connecting Odessa port and Sukhoi port has become a way to optimize the logistics chain and a factor in reducing the impact on the environment.
