The People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation entered the top three trade partners of Ukraine in 2020: both in terms of exports and imports.
This is reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
In 12 months of 2020, Ukraine imported goods worth 54,2 billion dollars (compared to the same period in 2019, imports decreased by 6,2 billion dollars or by 10,3%).
$49,2 billion was exported from Ukraine (the decrease in exports amounted to $0,85 billion or 1,7%).
The balance (difference between exports and imports) is negative - 5 billion dollars.
Countries from which imported the most to Ukraine: China — 8,3 billion dollars, Germany — 5,1 billion dollars and Russia — 4,6 billion dollars.
Exported from Ukraine, most of all went to China - by 7,1 billion dollars, Poland - by 3,3 billion dollars, Russia - by 2,7 billion dollars.
Three the most exported from Ukraine, the goods include:
- grain - by 9,4 billion
- ferrous metals - by 7,7 billion
- fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin — by 5,8 billion
Most of all was imported to Ukraine the following categories:
- mineral fuel, oil and products of its distillation — 8 billion
- reactors, boilers, machines, equipment and mechanical devices — 6,1 billion
- means of land transport — 5,5 billion
