As part of a four-day visit to the Odesa region, a delegation from Poland headed by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Olgerd Geblevych, together with the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, Oleg Radkovskiy, took part in the Conference on the consideration of problematic issues of the viticulture and winemaking industry of Ukraine at the Shabo Wine Culture Center.
The event was opened by the chairman of the Odesa OGA Sergey Hrynevetskyi, the first deputy minister of agrarian policy Taras Vysotskyi, the president of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Yaroslav Gadzalo, the chairman of the Nikolaev OGA Vitaly Kim and representatives of wine enterprises and associations were also present.
The exchange of experience with Polish colleagues and the discussion of problematic issues of the industry allowed, after the event, to develop directions for cooperation between regions and to formulate a clear vision of the necessary changes in the laws of Ukraine to improve the state of viticulture and winemaking in Ukraine.
In addition, the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Olgerd Heblevych, emphasized the importance of demonopolization of markets in Ukraine and wider access of Ukrainian winemakers to the markets of Poland and the entire European Union.
Olgerd Geblevych and his colleagues also visited the Akkerman fortress in the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky.
According to Oleh Radkovsky, the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, during the two-day visit of the Polish colleagues, it was possible not only to show the best cultural and artistic gems of the Odesa Region, but also to outline plans for cooperation between the Odesa Oblast and the Polish Voivodeship for two to three years.
