"There are no towing schemes": the Odesa port refuted the media information

Yesterday, January 25, a meeting devoted to the so-called "towing schemes" was held in the Odessa seaport.

Yesterday, January 25, a meeting devoted to the so-called "towing schemes" was held in the Odessa seaport.

In the last few days, the mass media reported that the director of the Odessa port, Alexei Myaskovsky, was removed from his post due to the fact that he was struggling with schemes for leasing state-owned tugboats that were unprofitable for the port.

For this reason, the management of the port decided to call representatives of the mass media to dot all the "ands".

In particular, Acting Aleksandr Garmash, the first deputy director of OMTP SE, who temporarily replaces Myaskovsky, explained that the director was removed for another reason - due to the audit.

"The Minister of Infrastructure, Vladyslav Krykly, removed Alexei Myaskovsky from the position of the director of the state-owned enterprise "Odessa Sea Trade Port" during the inspection of the financial and economic activity of the enterprise. Based on the results of the audit, it will be clear whether he will return to the post of director or not," said Alexander Garmash.

In turn, the deputy director of "OMTP" for security, Denys Lutyy, denied media reports that the port leased three tugboats at a price two times lower than that offered by other market participants.

"In December, we found a tender on the Prozzoro platform, according to which three tugboats were to be leased for UAH 55. We leased it at completely different price tags: for 000 UAH for one tugboat, and for 45 UAH for two tugboats. If we talk about this cost, then it is economically justified and agreed with all the structural divisions of the enterprise, and before handing over the tugs, the port sent letters to all subjects who previously wished to conclude contracts. In addition, the former manager cannot answer the question why tugboats were not leased at sufficiently favorable rates for the port. Now there is no work for all our tugboats in the port, and this is a normal practice when the company is trying to make money. In addition, please pay attention to the fact that we are not talking about any kind of temporary rental", - stressed Denys Lutyy.

In addition, the deputy director for security drew attention to the fact that employees of the publication "Dumskaya.net", who wrote about schemes in the port, and Alexey Myaskovsky himself were invited to the meeting, but they did not come.

Another issue was also discussed at the meeting: the dismissal of port employees. Denys Lutyy said that the dismissal took place by agreement of the parties and each of the employees had performed their duties poorly before that, as there are relevant reports.

"We are open to the media. In case of questions or conflicting data, we are ready to provide you with any information, Alexander Garmash summarized.
