Law enforcement officers exposed two operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Kyiv region for extorting money (Part 3 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported to the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, two police officers demanded 250 from the head of the security company. UAH compensation for the alleged non-fulfillment of agreements on carrying out protection during grain harvest, to which he had nothing to do.
After transferring a part of the amount - 85 thousand. UAH the police officers were detained. During the detention, they tried to escape.
At this time, prosecutors are solving the issue of notifying the police of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint.
