China launched the world's first 6G satellite into orbit

China launched the Long March 6 launch vehicle from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome, which successfully sent 13 satellites into orbit, including the world's first 6G test satellite. This is reported Gizchina.

"University of Electronic Science and Technology Satellite" was created by Chengdu Guoxing Aerospace Science and Technology Co., Ltd., China University of Electronic Science and Technology and Beijing Weinaxingkong Technology Co., Ltd.

Its main purpose is remote sensing of the earth. His areas of focus are urban construction, natural disaster monitoring in agriculture and forestry, and other industries that require similar services. At the same time, it will test terahertz communication loads.

As Professor Xu Yangsheng said, this is the world's first 6G test satellite and the first technical verification of terahertz communication in a space application scenario. It marks a breakthrough in the development of space communication technologies in the terahertz range in China's aerospace sphere.
