Mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klychko, who hoped that the first test for Covid-19 mistakenly showed that he had the disease, spoke about the results of the second test. According to him, he also turned out to be positive.
Klitschko spoke about this in the first live broadcast since the beginning of his illness today, October 28.
"I feel good, cheerful (…) Unfortunately, the repeat test on Monday (October 26) was positive. I hoped, and now I hope, that the following tests will be negative in the end," said the Mayor of Kyiv.
The mayor also spoke about the symptoms of Covid-19 that he still has.
"I can say that my voice has calmed down a bit, I don't smell any smells, but I think that the sports past and strong immunity are fighting off the virus," added Klitschko.
As a reminder, on October 24, the day before the local elections, Klitschko announced that he had been diagnosed with Covid-19. Due to the coronavirus disease, the mayor of Kyiv did not go to vote. The press secretary of the mayor, in turn, noted that he does not have pneumonia, and the mayor is being treated at home.
