More than 71 million Americans cast their votes in the presidential elections in the USA even before the official election day. This is evidenced by data from the United States Elections Project.
More than 47 million voters sent their votes by mail, and more than 23 million voted at polling stations. As a rule, Democrats vote more actively by mail, and Republicans prefer to vote in person.
This is more than half of all votes cast in the presidential elections in 2016.
The presidential election in the USA will be held on November 3, 2020. Republican and incumbent US President Donald Trump will seek re-election. His opponent from the Democrats is former Vice President Joe Biden.
