From May 1, the "red" level of epidemic danger will be canceled in Kyiv. Such a decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.
According to Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov, stabilization of the epidemic situation of the spread of COVID-19 is observed in the city, and according to all indicators, the capital can be transferred from the "red" to the "yellow" level of epidemic danger.
In particular, from May 1, all ground public transport and the subway will start operating in normal mode (subject to certain norms). Trade establishments, shopping and entertainment centers, markets, fairs, catering establishments, sports halls and fitness centers will also be opened.
In addition, centers for the provision of administrative services will begin to operate (by prior appointment through electronic services).
From May 5, the capital will resume the educational process in general and preschool education institutions, as well as in higher education institutions. Once again, documents will be accepted for enrolling children in the first grade for the next school year.
However, control over compliance with quarantine rules on the streets of the city will be strengthened. It is planned to involve additional patrols of the National Police and the Municipal Guard.
