TOP-20 most influential people of Kharkiv: results of the rating

The list of the most influential people of the Kharkiv region was headed by one of the most experienced politicians in the country, Arsen Avakov.

Kharkiv region is one of the most developed industrial centers of Ukraine, where machine-building and metalworking enterprises, energy and the military-industrial complex play a leading role. The city and the region are famous for their powerful scientific, intellectual and creative potential.

The team of the National rating platform has set itself an ambitious task - to compile a list of 20 people, which have the most significant influence on the Kharkiv region and increase the authority of the region.

Yes, each of the people listed in the rating makes a significant contribution to the development of the city, region and country.

The list of the most influential people of Kharkiv region in 2021 was headed by one of the most experienced politicians of Ukraine Arsen Avakov. He was the head of Kharkiv OGA, a deputy of the regional council, a people's deputy and worked as the minister of internal affairs under two presidents in four governments.

He is followed by a well-known politician, the former head of the OGA and the mayor of Kharkiv, ex-people's deputy Mikhail Dobkin. Despite the fact that on October 31 he lost the Kharkov mayor's election to Igor Terekhov, secretary of the city council, he is in second place in the ranking.

On the third position is another politician - former People's Deputy, leader of the "Nash" party Yevgeny Muraev.

The fourth line is occupied by the new mayor of Kharkov, who won the elections more than a month ago, Igor Terekhov. Previously, he was the deputy of the late mayor Gennady Kernes and until 2020 was not widely known in Kharkiv, being in the shadow of his patron.

In fifth place is the state figure, Irina Venediktova from Kharkiv. In March 2020, she became the first woman in the history of Ukraine to be appointed to the position of Prosecutor General.

The sixth place also belongs to Kharkiv resident Alexey Sukhachev, who has been in charge of the State Bureau of Investigation in the "acting" status for more than two years. Sukhachev served in the authorities for 20 years, went from investigator to deputy of the Main Directorate of the Central Directorate of the SBU. In addition, he was the deputy head of the Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and worked in the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

The seventh position is held by another woman from Kharkiv who represents the new generation of servants of Ukrainian Themis - the head of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, Elena Tanasevych. She became the president of the court in May 2019.

The eighth line went to People's Deputy of six convocations, businessman, millionaire Alexander Feldman. He made his way from a driver and operator of a boiler room to the honorary president of one of the largest business corporations in Ukraine - the AVEK concern.

In the ninth place was a veteran of Ukrainian politics - People's Deputy Vadym Rabinovych. Currently, he is the co-chairman of the "Opposition Platform — For Life" party.

Alexander Yaroslavsky, one of the richest people in the country, closes the top ten. He is the owner of the financial and industrial group DCH, specializing in investments and construction. Earlier, the businessman had a conflict with Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes, but later they came to an agreement and reconciled.

The second half of the list included many businessmen, an adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a well-known doctor, a writer and a street artist:

  1. Alexander Davtyan – politician, businessman, owner of DAD Investment Group;
  2. Yury Sapronov – businessman, vice-president of the All-Ukrainian Golf Federation;
  3. Vsevolod Kozhemyako - businessman, founder and general director of the Agrotrade group of companies;
  4. Boris Lozhkin – businessman, founder of the UMH Group (Ukrainian media holding), president of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine;
  5. Anton Gerashchenko – adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, former deputy minister of internal affairs (from September 25, 2019 to August 4, 2021);
  6. Tatiana Egorova-Lutsenko - Head of the Kharkiv Regional Council;
  7. Yuliya Svetlichnaya – People's Deputy, ex-head of Kharkiv OGA;
  8. Yevgeny Komarovsky – pediatrician;
  9. Sergey Zhadan – poet, novelist, translator, public activist;
  10. Hamlet Zynkovsky is an artist who became famous as a master of street art.
