Ambulances, which Polish volunteers were going to hand over to hospitals in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, were burned next to the building of the city administration of Radluwa in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship of Poland. This is reported by the TV channel TVN24.
Two cars were damaged: one was completely burned, the other was seriously damaged, but it can be restored. Two more cars were also damaged, which were next to the "fast" and were also supposed to go to Ukraine.
In total, it was planned to transfer ten cars to Ukraine — six medical and four pickup trucks. Due to the incident, only four ambulances and two pickup trucks will go to Ukraine.
Thanks to surveillance cameras, the police have already detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 35-year-old local resident who had previously been arrested for a similar crime in 2019.
Diana Dembitzka-Monchka, president of the "Power of the Future" foundation, said that her foundation is already collecting funds for the purchase of a new ambulance. "We cannot leave aside the needs of hospitals in Ukraine, which have been waiting for this help."
