There are 16 Russian warships in the Black Sea, four of which are missile carriers that can fire at least 20 calibers at the territory of Ukraine at any time. Nataliya Humenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, informed about this during the telethon.
"The ship group of the enemy consists of 16 ships, among which there are still 4 missile carriers: 2 surface and 2 submarines. This means that more than 20 calibers can be ready for a salvo. Quite a powerful potential, which indicates the possibility of launching missile strikes at any moment, since the equipment ships are ready and on combat duty," she said, adding that such a number of missile carriers on combat duty may indicate preparations for a missile attack.
At the same time, according to Humenyuk, Russia refuses mass attacks, because they involve large costs with little return.
"Most likely, they will use point attacks, as was the case in the Kremenchuk region, when aircraft and naval missile carriers take to the air to confuse our air defense systems. Thus, they try to divert attention in various ways. But with regard to the sea direction, rockets can be launched at any moment," the representative of OK "Pivden" reported.
It will be recalled that on March 1, OC "Pivden" announced that the Russian military could launch a massive missile attack on Ukraine in the next two days.
Before that, OK "Pivden" reported that the analysis of the activity of the Russian aviation and night drone attacks indicates a high probability of missile strikes.
