A 52-year-old man raped ten underage girls in Odessa. The law enforcement officers sent an indictment to the court.
According to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine in the Odesa region, eight girls under the age of 14 and two 14-year-olds suffered from the actions of a pedophile.
The investigators found out that the pedophile had been getting to know girls in the guise of a young man on social networks for several years, gaining trust and asking them to send him intimate photos. If the girl did this, then the pedophile called her under the guise of a policeman who controls the distribution of Internet pornography and offered to meet. In case of refusal, he promised to publish the pictures.
Fearing the condemnation of relatives and friends, the victims fulfilled the conditions, and he, under the influence of physical and psychological violence, entered into sexual relations with them, sometimes filming it on a mobile phone.
Law enforcement officers proved 26 facts of sexual crimes and committed lewd acts against ten victims.
The perpetrator is charged with crimes under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: ch.ch. 3, 4 and 6 Art. 152 (Rape), ch.ch. 1 and 2 of Article 156 (depravation of minors) and Part 4 of Article 301 (Import, production, sale and distribution of pornographic items — as amended by the Criminal Code 2018).
The maximum punishment for a pedophile is life imprisonment, the minimum is 10 years of imprisonment.
