The SBU detained a deputy of the Boryspil district council: he demanded 40 thousand dollars from a notary

And he threatened the Ministry of Justice with connections in political circles

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the corruption of a deputy of the Boryspil District Council. He demanded and received 40 thousand dollars from the Kyiv notary. This was reported in the SBU press center.

The operatives established that the deputy threatened to withdraw the victim's notary certificate and exclude her from the Unified Register of Notaries due to artificial accusations of dishonesty. The attacker referred to his allegedly influential connections in political circles and the Ministry of Justice. In order to avoid responsibility, the money was transferred to him through a currency exchange point. Then he planned to convert them into cryptocurrency.

Law enforcement officers detained the deputy in the Shevchenkiv district of the capital after the notary transferred the entire amount to the currency exchange office.

Criminal proceedings are open under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Acceptance of offers, promises or receipt of illegal benefits).
