The SBU liquidated the agent network of the LPR that planned terrorist attacks in Ukraine

The operatives managed to disrupt the plans of the pseudo-special service

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the illegal activities of the so-called "LPR" pseudo-special service, which planned to blow up an SBU employee and carry out a number of other terrorist attacks in Ukraine. This was reported in the SBU press center.

The operatives managed to find the attacker, who was engaged in recruiting Ukrainians in the front-line territory. He turned out to be a 27-year-old resident of Severodonetsk, who joined the ranks of the so-called "special service of the LPR" in 2018. In the autumn of the same year, he received the passport of the pseudo-republic, and within an hour - the passport of a citizen of Russia.

At the behest of curators from the Russian Federation, the perpetrator formed an agent network, mainly from close relatives of SBU employees. He recruited using blackmail and psychological pressure, as well as threats of physical violence and illegal confiscation of property located in the temporarily occupied territory.

On July 29, the so-called intelligence officer of the "LPR" organized a mine attack on the service car of an SBU employee in the Luhansk region. His plan was thwarted by the efforts of the internal security and counterintelligence units of the Security Service of Ukraine, and the recruited agents were identified.

At this time, law enforcement officers are continuing to identify and identify other possible agents of the pseudo-special service.
