The investigators of the National Police, with the help of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, received certain information of interest in the investigation of the bombing of journalist Pavlo Sheremet in 2016. This is reported on the official website of the National Police.
Documents and audio recordings, the last of which are dated 2012, have already been made available to the investigation and are of interest from the point of view of establishing the customers of the crime.
Fragments of information that are at the disposal of the investigation are published on the Internet. On the released records, unidentified persons discuss the question of the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet. In particular, it was about the option of poisoning with the use of toxic substances, as well as detonation.
At the moment, law enforcement officers have received permission to conduct investigative actions in one of the European countries.
The case regarding the executors of the Sheremet explosion has been referred to the court, a separate criminal proceeding has been set up against the customers, the investigation of which is ongoing.
We will add, on January 4, the Belgian edition EUobserver stated that the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, could have planned the murder of his critics who had left the republic. The publication published audio recordings of the conversations of the former head of the State Security Committee of Belarus, Vadym Zaitsev (2008–2012), in which, in particular, the possibility of killing Sheremet was discussed. The conversations were recorded by a hidden device on April 11, 2012, during the training of employees of the counter-terrorist unit of the KGB "Alpha".
As a reminder, journalist Pavlo Sheremet was killed in the summer of 2016 in the center of Kyiv. The car he was in was blown up, as a result of which the journalist died on the spot.
In December 2019, law enforcement officers announced suspicion of murder against three persons: military nurse Yana Dugar, volunteer and pediatric vascular heart surgeon Yulia Kuzmenko, as well as musician and ATO veteran Andrey Antonenko.
September 28 in the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv determined the composition of the court in the case of the murder of Sheremet.
