Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the official of one of the departments of the State Executive Service of Odessa of the Southern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice for extortion. This was reported in the office of the SBU in the Odesa region.
For bribes, the official "guaranteed" the avoidance of administrative responsibility and the lifting of arrests from the debtors' vehicles and real estate.
The cost of the perpetrator's services ranged from $300 to $1 and depended on the value of the property.
Criminal proceedings are open under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Acceptance of offers, promises or receipt of illegal benefits by an official).
At this time, law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions to bring to justice other persons involved in illegal activities.
