The Ukrainian army cannot yet launch a counteroffensive, which was planned for the spring of 2023. For this, Ukraine needs additional weapons, in particular, ammunition and fighter jets.
This was emphasized by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi v interview Yomiuri.
"We can't start yet. We cannot send them," said the head of state.
The president added that the situation in the east of Ukraine remains difficult, and emphasized that Ukraine cannot send its defenders into a counteroffensive without sufficient weapons.
"We are waiting for ammunition from our partners," Zelensky said.
The president added that the Russian military uses three times more ammunition every day than the Armed Forces.
