The Ministry of Justice plans to go to court to cancel the registration of the party of Hungarians "KMCS"

The Ministry of Justice plans to go to court to cancel the registration of the party of Hungarians "KMKS" for violating the requirements of Ukrainian legislation.

Transcarpathian journalist Vitaliy Glagola reported this on his Telegram channel, citing his own sources.

"Referring to the requirements of Art. 24 of the Law "On Political Parties in Ukraine", which stipulates that in the event that a political party does not nominate its candidates for the elections of the President of Ukraine and the elections of People's Deputies of Ukraine within 10 years, the body that registered the political party must apply to the court for the annulment of the registration certificate ", says Glagola. He added that representatives of this party participated in the last two parliamentary elections, but not as candidates from the Communist Party of Ukraine.

"In 2014, Vasiliy Brenzovich became a People's Deputy from the BPP, and the second KMKS member, Iosif Borto, ran for office in the Verkhovna Rada as a self-nominated candidate in 2019. This gives the Ministry of Justice the right to cancel the registration of the KMKS," the journalist wrote.

Glagola also reminded that in February of this year, the Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska announced that the Ministry of Justice had analyzed compliance with the requirements of the law "On Political Parties in Ukraine" of all registered parties and had prepared a package of 48 lawsuits filed in court to cancel the registration of those that violate the requirements of the law.

As a reminder, the SBU previously conducted searches of officials of the Hungarian fund in Transcarpathia. Read more ElitExpert understood the situation.
