The Russian invaders do not abandon their intention to hold so-called "referendums" for joining Russia in the occupied territories.
In particular, in the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, the Kremlin's "United Russia" has started work, the invaders want to open precincts for holding the so-called "elections". In addition, the occupiers began to distribute Russian passports.
The situation with the pseudo-referendums of "ElitExpert" was commented by the head of the branch of "Batkivshchyna" in Odesa, doctor of technical sciences and professor Mykhailo Pozhivanov.
"They already did similar things in their time during the creation of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR", the annexation of Crimea. In my opinion, today they will not play pseudo-democracy at all. Perhaps our counteroffensive will be able to stop this, but at the same time they can draw protocols on their knees, and the State Duma of the Russian Federation will simply approve these results," the politician said.
In his opinion, only the activity and prowess of the Armed Forces will be able to prevent the Russians from holding a pseudo-vote.
"And I think that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, commanders of various branches of the military understand this perfectly, and will do everything possible to prevent this from happening. But even if this happens, Ukraine will certainly never recognize the occupation elections.
On the other hand, in those Ukrainian cities, which, unfortunately, were surrendered without a single shot being fired, propaganda can present everything in its own way, and people can perceive it differently. In the same Melitopol and Berdyansk. But we have high hopes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and believe that they will not allow these pseudo-referendums to be held," stressed Mykhailo Pozhivanov.
