The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrsky, addressed the Ukrainians and urged them to remain calm. This is stated in the video broadcast of the National Police of Ukraine.
According to him, more than 300 thousand security forces are serving for the peace of Ukrainians.
«The Ministry of Internal Affairs will not allow any separatist manifestations like those that occurred in the spring of 2014 in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk. We also do not allow repetitions of Slavyansk. Now is not 2014 and we are not the same as we were then. If now some "Gyrkin" tries to seize the administration building, he will be shot by our special forces without notice and he hesitates." — declared Monastyrsky and urged Ukrainians not to panic because of rumors about a possible war.
"First, keep calm. Don't panic. It's not 2014 now. Ukraine has become stronger and more organized. Secondly, everyone in their place must do their daily work so that schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and enterprises function," Monastyrskyi emphasized.
