Deputy of Kyiv City Council from Yulia Tymoshenko's party "Batkyvshchyna" Mikhail Kovalchuk published on Facebook an excerpt from Adolf Hitler's autobiography "My Struggle". This was reported by "Klymenko Time" on Monday, August 9.
It is noted that a post with a quote appeared on the deputy's page on the evening of August 5.
Hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers died in the battles for Kyiv, most of them Ukrainians. However, this does not prevent Deputy Kovalchuk from quoting Hitler on his page. He posted an excerpt from the book "My Struggle", dedicated to the Nazi leader's reasoning about the nature of revolutions, mass popular movements and uprisings.
In the quote, Hitler writes about the power of words, the influence of ego on the masses. Addressing the "vain writers" of his time, the Führer declares that all "great coups" were never done with the help of the pen of "literary aesthetes and salon heroes."
The deputy illustrated the quote with a photo in which people with and without balaclavas pose with OUN flags.
