President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree approving the "National Legend of Ukraine" award, a drawing of this award and a drawing of a sample diploma form for it. This is reported on the official website of the head of state.
According to the document, this award is given to citizens of Ukraine, as well as foreigners and stateless persons for personal merits in the establishment of independent Ukraine, the strengthening of its statehood, the protection of the Motherland and service to the Ukrainian people, a significant contribution to the development of the national economy, science, education, culture, art, sports, health care, as well as for active charitable and public activities.
The award is made of gold in the form of a stylized flower, the petals of which are covered with blue and yellow enamel. In the center is a relief image of the Princely State Sign of Vladimir the Great.
Awarding the National Legend of Ukraine distinction is carried out by decree of the head of state annually on the occasion of Independence Day.
It is worn on the chest on the left, and if the awardee has other state awards, they are placed below the badges of the awards on the pads (ribbons) and after the stars of the orders.
