Four Ukrainian sailors, members of the crew of the tanker Captain Khayyam, who spent more than 4 years in the Ain Zara prison in Libya, arrived in Ukraine this morning.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, on his Twitter page.

"According to the President's instructions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine have successfully completed the difficult and lengthy negotiations for the release of Ukrainian sailors who have been held in prison in Libya for more than 4 years. Four Ukrainians returned home this morning!" wrote Avakov.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that Pavel Chaika, Vladimir Tostogan, Evgeny Morarya, Oleg Vaynerovsky were met by relatives and friends at Boryspil airport.
