Magazine "Focus" prepared a traditional rating of the comfort of Ukrainian cities, assessed the level of life in 22 regional centers, excluded cities in the temporarily occupied territory.
The most comfortable city in Ukraine, according to the magazine, is Khmelnytskyi, which scored 201 points. The capital of Ukraine is Kyiv, in second place (186 points), and the "bronze" went to Lviv (184 points). Rivne (182 points) and Ternopil (180 points) close the top five.
In Khmelnytskyi, they noted a low crime rate and high security, as well as low housing costs and good infrastructure. As for Kyiv, the experts assessed the ratio between the average salary and the value of the conditional consumer basket, investment attractiveness and the best indicators of railway communications.
Chernivtsi is recognized as the most ecologically clean city in the country, and Ivano-Frankivsk is the safest.

Cities were evaluated according to 14 criteria, not taking into account the situation with air transportation. Instead, they introduced a "covid assessment", which significantly affected the location of cities in the list. City evaluation criteria:
- Economic situation and the ease of job search: the average level of the official salary and the cost of the basic consumer basket, the price of a one-room economy-class apartment, the ratio of supply and demand on the labor market;
- Transport infrastructure: the number of railway routes, the number of international highways passing through the city;
- Life expectancy;
- Mobility of the population: the percentage of citizens who have visited foreign resorts in five years, based on the calculations of the survey of the "Rating" group;
- Ecology: level of air pollution, quantity of hazardous waste;
- Safety of residence (crime level, according to statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).
