Law enforcement officers detained the head of the Ternopil State Tax Inspectorate and his son, the head of the enterprise, as well as two more people for extortion (Part 3, 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported to the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, the head of the tax inspectorate together with his son, bringing in two representatives of criminality, demanded 40 from the citizen. US dollars for products allegedly appropriated to him during his work at the enterprise, the head of which is the official's son. At the same time, they threatened him and his family with physical violence.
The operatives detained all four people when receiving the second part of the "debt" in the amount of 10. dollars
At present, the investigators are solving the issue of notifying them of suspicion and are preparing applications for choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention. In addition, they want to remove the head of the tax inspectorate from his post.
