US Deputy Secretary of State Keith Krach said that the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to dismantle all the equipment of the Chinese company Huawei installed in departmental buildings.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to remove all Huawei equipment from its premises, and several other government institutions will follow this example," Krach said after the meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Kit Krach also reminded that recently the Ukrainian government refused to cooperate with Huawei in the project of creating a "smart city", gave preference to the American Cisco.
According to him, Ukraine also expressed interest in the "Clean Network" initiative, whose participants refuse to use the services of Chinese telecommunications companies in the development of 5G networks for the sake of information security.
As a reminder, in the summer of 2020, Huawei and ZTE were recognized as a threat to national security in the USA. This was explained by the fact that since Chinese companies are subject to Chinese legislation, the American side does not exclude that they may be obliged to cooperate with the intelligence services of their country.
