The famous Russian singer and composer Alexander Gradsky passed away at the age of 72. The Russian mass media are writing about it.
Gradsky died on the night of November 28 in a hospital in Moscow.
Earlier this week it was reported that Gradsky was urgently hospitalized with a suspected stroke. He complained of not feeling well when he was at home.
Singer and composer Alexander Gradsky was born on November 3, 1949 in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk Region. Graduated from the Faculty of Academic Singing of the State Polytechnic University named after Gnesinykh, studied at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1965, he founded one of the first rock groups in the USSR - Slavyane, and an hour later - the group Skomorokha, which brought him popularity.
He was the author of music for more than 40 feature films, several dozen documentaries and animated films. He released more than 18 albums, wrote several rock operas and rock ballets, as well as many songs.
In 1999, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. The musician was also the artistic director of the Gradsky Hall theater.
