This year, the State Border Service of Ukraine expects to receive ten more Airbus Helicopters H125. This was reported to the State Border Service.
It is planned that these machines will already arrive with the necessary optical-electronic equipment for monitoring the state border and the exclusive (maritime) economic zone of Ukraine.
The head of the State Border Service Serhiy Deineko noted that the above mentioned helicopters are 4-5 times more economical compared to Mi-8, which are in service with the department. Over the course of a year, new helicopters in the State Border Service confirmed their efficiency and economy and flew almost 460 hours. In 2020, they were mainly used for training flight and technical personnel. At the same time, training was often combined with aerial monitoring of one or another section of the state border.
Currently, the State Border Service has already trained six specialists who can pilot the Airbus H125, as well as 64 mechanics who are able to ensure the proper technical condition of helicopters for their effective operation. In 2020, two hangars were built for the H125 in the Kharkiv region, one each in the Sumy region and Kyiv. Preparatory work on the construction of a hangar in the Chernihiv region continues.
We remind you that within the framework of the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement with the French Republic and the implementation of the investment project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the creation of a unified system of aviation security and protection, the State Border Service of Ukraine expects to receive a total of 24 new Airbus Helicopter H125 helicopters.
Exactly an hour ago, on January 3, 2020, two H125 helicopters from the French company Airbus Helicopter arrived in Kyiv.
