The decision was supported by all the mayors of the country's cities.

The Government of Ukraine signed a memorandum with local authorities, according to which tariffs for heat and hot water will not increase until the end of the heating season. This is reported by the official portal of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The memorandum was signed by Alexey Chernyshov, Acting Minister of Community Development and Territory. Minister of Energy Yury Vytrenko, city mayors, representatives of the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the spheres of energy and communal services, as well as representatives of Naftogaz Ukraine.

It is reported that the decision was supported by all the mayors of the cities — it is separate noted on the official website of the Ministry of Regions.

The memorandum also provides that heat supply companies will be able to obtain gas for the production of heat and supply it to the homes of Ukrainians throughout the entire heating period of 2020-2021. For these enterprises, deferred payment for natural gas and compensation for the difference between the market price of gas and the price included in the heat tariffs are provided.

Also, by September 1, 2021, Naftogaz Ukrainy will introduce "long-term price offers" to ensure a "stable level" of gas prices for heat supply enterprises. This will avoid price fluctuations during the 2021-2022 heating season.
