The introduction of a zero VAT rate on domestic air transportation will contribute to cheaper tickets and revitalization of tourism in Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Exemption from taxation will lead to a reduction in costs and cheaper air tickets for domestic flights. Ukrainians, for their part, will have wider access to fast and safe travel within the country. These legislative amendments must be introduced as soon as possible in order to increase the tourist flow already this summer," Shmyhal noted.
He instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance to carry out all the necessary preparatory work and quickly develop the relevant amendments to the law.
