Poltava and Zaporozhye regions are leaving the "red" quarantine zone

And they move to the "yellow" level of epidemic danger

From May 7, the "red" level of epidemic danger will be canceled in the Poltava and Zaporozhye regions. Such a decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.

According to the chief state sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko, there is a steady improvement in the epidemic situation due to COVID-19 in the regions, and the indicators make it possible to transfer the regions from the "red" to the "yellow" level of epidemic danger.

"The occupancy of beds with oxygen is less than the target indicator and is 48% in the Zaporozhye region, 43% in the Poltava region. The level of hospitalization is 40 people per 100 population in the Zaporozhye region, 45 people per 100 population in the Poltava region," Viktor Lyashko noted.

He also added that the incidence rate of influenza and SARS in the Zaporozhye region is 17% less than the established epidemic threshold, and in Poltava region - by 36%.
