On the morning of March 22, Russia launched 8 missiles at the Dniprovska HPP. The damage is very significant.
This was stated by the head of the Department of Combating Crimes in the Conditions of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office Yurii Belousov on the air of the telethon. According to him, Ukraine understands the likely consequences.
"Today, Zaporizhzhia was under the most massive attack - only the HPP itself was hit 8 times, i.e. 8 missiles hit this extremely important for Ukraine object, which contains not only a powerful energy component, but also performs other functions... And we all understand possible consequences — Ukraine has already experienced the consequences of damage to a similar facility (Kakhovskaya HPP — ed.). Currently, as far as I know, from the information we have received, there is no danger to citizens. The object is really disabled. I hope that our colleagues from the relevant departments will do everything possible to restore it, but the damage is very significant." Belousov said.
