This was reported in the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On the night of February 8 to 9, as a result of difficult weather conditions (gusts of wind, wet snow), 273 settlements in 12 regions were cut off due to the activation of automatic protection systems of power lines," the message says.

Populations cut off by region as of this morning: Odesa — 85, Kherson — 54, Chernovytska — 40, Nikolaev — 34, Zaporizhia — 12, Poltava — 12, Kyiv — 10, Kirovohrad — 10, Donetsk — 7, Zakarpattia — 5, Zhytomyr — 3 and Dnipropetrovsk — 1.

Oblenergo brigades were involved in the restoration of power supply.
