The chairman of the jury awarded the first place to the project of the Great Coat of Arms of Ukraine to his own work, in the creation of which he took part at the time.
Former People's Deputy Igor Mosiychuk reported this on his Facebook page.
"As it turned out yesterday, our officials can't even approve the big state coat of arms without nepotism, negotiators and corruption! The first, second and third places in the competition were awarded to the projects of Alexey Kohan and Ivan Turetsky. Both are recognized as co-authors of the small coat of arms of Ukraine together with Andrey Grechylo," Mosiychuk writes. According to him, Andrey Bohdanovich Grechylo, who is now the chairman of the jury of the current contest, was a consultant to Alexei Kohan when he created the coat of arms project for the 1997 contest.
"Exactly the same project without changes was submitted to the 2020 competition. That is, in fact, the chairman of the jury awarded the first place to his own project, in the creation of which he participated at the time. And the second and third - to his second co-author, and at the same time his godfather and business partner, Ivan Turetsky," added Mosiychuk.
