The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at today's meeting may introduce "weekend quarantine".
The head of the Ministry of Health Maksym Stepanov announced this on the air of the TV channel "1+1".
"I do not rule out that we will propose a weekend quarantine." We do this in order to break the chain of infected people. More shops will be closed, which will not be open on Saturday-Sunday, public catering establishments will not be open, (they will be allowed to serve guests) only "take-out", - said the minister.
Stepanov added that the authorities are not considering the possibility of introducing a curfew in Ukraine. According to him, for this, it is necessary to introduce a state of emergency in the country, but the Ministry of Health is not yet advocating for this.
Note that the essence of the "weekend quarantine" is that from Friday to Sunday, all public catering establishments (except for take-out), as well as food courts and entertainment areas in shopping centers, will be closed.
