Three architectural monuments will be restored in Odessa. This will be done by the state within the framework of the "Great Restoration" presidential program. About this сообщил Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko.
We are talking about the buildings of the Philharmonic on Bunin Street, the Museum of Western and Eastern Art on Pushkinskaya Street, and the Art Museum on Sofievskaya Street. All of them are recognized as architectural monuments and are communally owned by the region.
"Allocation of subsidies for communal institutions is a step forward. After all, "Bolshaya Restoration" is about objects throughout Ukraine. Some of the cultural monuments are precisely in the form of communal ownership, but this does not reduce their value in any way, as well as the need for repair and restoration work. The program must be expanded, and the budget committee's approval of the allocation of subsidies to local budgets for restoration work on monuments of local importance is a support for this long-term goal of comprehensive preservation of Ukrainian heritage," wrote Minister Tkachenko on his FB page.
It should be noted that there is no publicly available information on what exact amount will be allocated to each of the Odessa architectural monuments. But the regional department of capital construction has already announced a tender for emergency and conservation work for the Philharmonic building. The regional state administration is ready to pay UAH 58,4 million for them. Full restoration will cost 150-170 million UAH. Tenders have not yet been announced for the remaining buildings.
