The Department of Education and a private camp gave a free ticket to the best schoolgirl

Rest on the shores of the Black Sea.

"Study well and get a diploma" is such a motivation for the modern generation of schoolchildren. And what about giving the best students a truly valuable, and most importantly, well-deserved gift — a vacation on the shores of the Black Sea?

It was with such an initiative that the representatives of the private camp turned to the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council and in March 2021 jointly launched a competition among Odessa students for a free ticket to their camp.

In total, 10 Odessa schools were determined based on the ratings of the best indicators of the external independent evaluation exam last year and invited them to participate in the competition.

And already in May, according to objective performance indicators, the winner was determined - Kostyna Iryna, a 10th-grade student of the Odesa Lyceum "Lanzheronovsky".

All the participants of the process were present at the official presentation of the voucher, because this kind of cooperation between a private camp and the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council is happening for the first time.

I personally handed over the ticket for a free stay at the camp head of the territorial department of education of the Primorsky district Julia Filler:

"It is very nice that it is in this educational institution that there is an excellent student who scored the highest number of points and received a ticket to a children's development camp. This is such a small but significant event, when for the first time private institutions provided such assistance and the opportunity for children to get healthy for free in their organization."

A representative of a private camp tells how the idea to offer such a competition to the Department came about —  Elena Nikulina, commercial director of STAR TIME GROUP:

"Due to the quarantine measures, I wanted more winners, but not all schools managed to submit their ratings on time. It was important to us that the assessment was objective, and Langeronovsky Lyceum did a great job with this task. For the first time, we decided to initiate the contest because we heard how parents celebrate a trip to our camp as praise for a child for good grades. We think that such an initiative will grow into our tradition."

The importance of such a competition for children was emphasized by Natalya Savelyeva, director of Lanzheronovsky Lyceum.

Well, the main character of this whole event was the winner of the competition — Ira Kostyna, who shared her emotions:

"I take part in Olympiads and competitions in various subjects. I received many thanks and certificates, but I never received a ticket. I have been following the camp on social networks for a long time, followed them on Instagram, watched all the stories and publications. I know that many of my friends have been to this camp and that every shift has fan meetings with stars. Therefore, I am very glad that I won this ticket and I will be able to go on a shift already in June."
