In Odessa, a 17-year-old boy stole a Daewoo Lanos car and arranged a race with the police in the city center, the press service of the Patrol Police Department in the Odessa region reported.
"Today, during the patrolling of the city's Primorsky district, a Daewoo car that broke traffic rules on Ryshelievskaya Street attracted the attention of the patrolmen. The driver did not respond to the request of the police to stop the car. Moreover, he tried to hide from the inspectors, violating the traffic rules and creating emergency situations," the department said.
Patrolmen caught up with the fugitive on Tiraspolskaya Street. The car was driven by a 17-year-old boy who did not have documents for the vehicle.
A little later, the patrol received a tip about the theft of a Daewoo car, which they stopped.
