All military medical commissions will be checked in Kyiv, — Ministry of Health

The reason was an increase in the number of complaints

Military medical commissions in Kyiv will begin to check, the reason was the increase in the number of complaints. This applies to non-compliance with the electronic queue, as well as non-optimized routes. This was reported by the head Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko of Ukraine.

According to him, in order to speed up the passing of the medical examination and make it more convenient, last year the Ministry of Health introduced a separate package within the framework of the medical guarantees program, which allows conscripts to undergo a medical examination in a civilian medical institution with clearly defined deadlines.

"However, a part of the VLK still works on the basis of procurement centers, not civilian medical facilities," — Lyashko writes.

The minister said that at the same time, other things are not left out of consideration:

— a corruption component, such as demanding bribes for taking into account all existing diseases and conditions during medical examinations;
— schemes for illegally transporting men of draft age across the state border or making decisions on deferment from conscription due to health conditions;
— a formal approach to the passing of the VLK by conscripts;
— negligence of doctors;
— problems with challenging conclusions.

According to him, the list can be continued, and there are many issues, but not all of them are directly influenced by the Ministry of Health.

"But from our side, we will make every effort to ensure that everyone, without exception, works in the legal field. For this, we cooperate with law enforcement officers. For this purpose, we are conducting a dialogue with the military administrations. Disgraceful cases of doctors deliberately making wrong diagnoses or demanding bribes for correct ones must stop. Each manipulation must receive a proper assessment of law enforcement agencies. And we are working on it together." Lyashko wrote.

He also urged everyone to be proactive and report violations that people may encounter. This will help to better understand what and where there are problems, which means to react accordingly. For questions about VLC in civilian medical institutions, you can contact by phone: 0 800 60 20 19.
