Putin told Modi he understood the Indian leader's concerns about Ukraine, but Moscow was doing everything it could to end the conflict.

He said that Ukraine refused to negotiate. In Kyiv, they declare that they will fight until they expel all Russian troops from their land. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that he would never accept a "peace" that would allow Russia to keep Ukrainian lands for itself.
