Despite the war, Ukrainian institutions are still working and training the young generation in new professions. International Humanitarian University of Odesa, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, also continues its educational activities and trains new specialists.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the university, festive events were held with the participation of the teaching staff, students and guests.
The celebration began with congratulatory words from the President of Moscow State University, Academician Serhiy Kivalov and University Rector Kostyantyn Gromovenko, who noted that over the 20 years of the institution's existence, qualified personnel potential in all areas of educational activity has been formed, an adequate material base has been rebuilt, and the appropriate social infrastructure of the university has been created - "The first set in 2003, there were only 100 entrants. Now more than 7000 students study at the eight faculties of the university."
Among the invited guests: First Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Borys Voloshenkov, First Deputy Head of the Regional Council Oleg Radkovskyi, Head of the Supervisory Board of Moscow State University, People's Deputy Yuliya Hryshina, Head of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office Serhiy Kostenko, representatives of the clergy and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The authorities presented diplomas and awards to the teachers and employees of the university and congratulated the institution on its anniversary.
"Today, the International Humanities University belongs to the leaders of higher education in our city and state, it is growing and developing. Educating experienced specialists and introducing European approaches to the training of a new generation of the intellectual elite of Ukraine is a very important task, which Moscow State University is doing admirably," said Oleg Radkovskii, First Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, in his congratulatory speech.
Today, Moscow State University has the fourth level of accreditation, 8 faculties function in its structure and more than 7 thousand students study. The team of teachers and employees is more than one and a half thousand.
