The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine has started an official investigation into the receipt of an award by the director of the Odesa territorial administration, Volodymyr Deulin, from the hands of the former influential "regional" and president of the Odesa Law Academy, Serhiy Kivalov.
"According to the fact of the participation of the Director of the Odesa Territorial Administration of the National Bureau, Volodymyr Deulin, in the event on the occasion of Lawyer's Day, which took place within the walls of the National University "Odesa Law Academy", and his receipt of an award from the rector of this university, an official inspection has been launched," the NABU said in a statement.
During the inspection, Volodymyr Deulin was suspended from his duties.
"The results of the inspection will be made public after its completion," NABU noted.
