The Profile Committee of the Verkhovna Rada recommended that the Rada adopt as a basis draft laws that provide for the temporary establishment of the maximum rate of customs clearance of cars imported into the territory of Ukraine in violation of customs rules ("Euroblahs") until the end of 2020, at 1000 euros.
The deputy head of the committee, Alexander Kovalchuk, noted that two draft laws have been drafted, which propose amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes.
"They provide a unified approach to customs clearance of cars without any benefits and exclusions, which concern all vehicles that entered the territory of Ukraine before the end of 2020 in violation of customs rules, and are also aimed at replenishing the budget and facilitating the work of law enforcement agencies.
It is proposed to provide an opportunity to clear customs of cars imported in violation of customs rules within 180 days at a rate not exceeding 1000 euros. The People's Deputies propose to use the received funds for vaccination against COVID-19," the message says.
"In the final provisions of the draft law, we propose that the funds obtained from the customs clearance of vehicles be fully allocated to the vaccination of Ukrainians against the coronavirus infection, additional payments to doctors, the purchase of equipment, etc.," said the People's Deputy.
