Despite the difficulties and the state of war, "Infoksvodokanal" continues to update networks and communications, because the reliability and quality of providing services to consumers depends on this. The company has already replaced more than 200 meters of pipelines with new ones made of modern materials.
This time it was the turn of the steel water pipeline in the Primorsky District of Odessa, which had exhausted its operational limit. So that the residents of Arcadia and parts of the Small Fountain do not suffer from possible accidents and outages, it will be replaced with a new one. It is planned to lay about 230 meters of new polyethylene pipe, the service life of which will be at least 50 years. In addition, modern shut-off valves will be installed, which, if necessary, will allow for local shutdowns in the future. Utilities will build new wells and chambers, install new fire hydrants, and their number will be increased.
When carrying out the works, the modern method of horizontally directed drilling (trenchless) will be mainly used. Thanks to this method, it is possible to avoid significant excavations, blockage of traffic, inconvenience for pedestrians, as well as long-term disconnections of water supply to consumers.
Work on the renewal of the water supply is planned to begin on April 12, 2023 and be completed within three months. To the attention of motor vehicle drivers, during punctures and pipe tightening, traffic may be temporarily restricted in the right lane along the 10th of Kvitny Square until the turn on Akademichna Street.
"Infoksvodokanal" apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and will take all measures to carry out the planned works as soon as possible, since high-quality and reliable water supply to Odessa residents and the city is a key task for the company.
