If the Kakhovskaya dam, which was mined by the occupying forces, is blown up, the illegally annexed Crimea will remain without water for at least 10-15 years.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov in an interview Sky News.
There are claims that Russia could blow it up to stop the advance of Ukrainian troops towards Kherson.
"We'll wait and see, but if they blow it up, the idea of water supply in Crimea will disappear for 10-15 years, or maybe forever. Then the question arises, why do they need Crimea, if they are going to leave it without water," said Oleksiy Danilov.
We will remind that more than 80 settlements will be at risk of flooding if the occupiers decide to blow up the mined dam of Kakhovskaya HPP.
