King Charles III of Great Britain officially accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Liz Truss.
In her farewell speech as Prime Minister, Truss urged her successor, Rishi Sunak, to continue helping Ukraine:
"We must be able to outplay autocratic regimes where power is concentrated in the hands of a small circle of individuals. Now more than ever, we must help Ukraine."
But officially appointed Rishi Sunaka Prime Minister of Great Britain after King Charles commissioned him to form a government.
He is the third prime minister this year and became the youngest in two centuries.
After the meeting with Charles III, Rishi Sunak will address the people of Great Britain at Downing Street.
Rishi Sunak's first statements as UK Prime Minister:

• "We will create an economy that will reveal all the benefits of Brexit"
• "Our country is in a severe economic crisis"
