In Odessa, new plaques with the names of prominent people appeared on the Alley of Stars
"There is a war in Ukraine started by Russia. The enemy is destroying cities and killing Ukrainians. We must show that Russia cannot take away our traditions, history and memory. Therefore, today we are opening new stars on our Alley to honor the memory of those people whose names make Odessa famous throughout the world. Those who made Odesa's culture a world heritage," Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov said at the opening.
New signs were installed with the names:
- Leonid Osypovych Pasternak is an Odessa painter and graphic artist; master of genre compositions and book illustration; teacher. Father of writer and poet Boris Pasternak and architect Oleksandr Pasternak.
- Georgy Andriyovych Golubenko is an Odessa writer, playwright, screenwriter, comedian. Artistic director of Odesa theaters "Comedium" and municipal theater "Richelieu".
- Evgeny Lapeyko — Organizer and head of the Odesa Rock Club. Music director of the KVK Team "Odesa Gentlemen".
