The Odessa Medical University is going to appeal the court's decision to ban the institution's work

On August 10, the District Administrative Court partially satisfied the claim of the State Emergency Service, decided to cut off electricity to the Odessa National Medical University due to violated fire safety regulations. These are the buildings at Olgiyevskaya, 4 and 4b, Pastera, 77, 82 and Mechnikova, 2, administrative buildings and laboratories in Valikhovsky lane 2, 3 and 3a, the dormitory at Pishonovskaya, 1 and the university clinic at Tenystoya, 8.

The rescuers say that most of the automatic fire alarm systems in need of repair, but there is simply no one on Pastera and Pyshonovskaya. In the building on Olgievskaya, 4b, the wiring in the premises is broken. The clinic at 8 Tenystoy Street does not have an alarm output system for the fire alarm control panel, and there is no evacuation system for people.

However, the the official website the management of Medina University published a statement indicating that most of the violations had already been eliminated. Therefore, the court's decision will be appealed.

"The specified decision has not entered into legal force, and most of the observations revealed during the inspection have been eliminated today in the buildings and premises of ONMedU. Since the discussed decision was made in violation of the law, ONMedU will challenge it in accordance with the procedure established by law." - the report says.
